Join our dedicated First Day School team and contribute positively to the spiritual and personal growth of our young children. As a Quaker Meeting, we refer to our “Sunday School” program as “First Day School”.
Position: First Day School Assistant
Location: Goose Creek Friends Meeting, Lincoln VA
Schedule: Sundays, 9:30 AM to 11 AM, with additional opportunities during events following regular worship.
Compensation: $25/hour
Class Size: Up to 10 children
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with classroom setup and management
- Support lead teacher in executing planned activities
- Maintain a calm, nurturing environment
- Assist with childcare during additional events, if available
Qualifications
- Experience with children ages 3-10
- Creative and patient approach to working with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Background check
- Interview with the Religious Education Committee
